VARNA PORT

  • Port Varna EAD is a state-owned company, leading Bulgarian port consisting of two terminals Varna East and Varna West;
  • Port of Varna is certifies ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 & comply with requirement of International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

VARNA EAST – HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Varna East in an operating link in the logistic chain canal-river-sea for transit traffic to /from Central Europe routed via River Danube port Rousse. The main sector of this link is the transit rail section Rousse – Varna.
  • Varna East is main gate for Bulgaria’s grain export. A special feature of Varna East is the multipurpose use of berths- ro-ro, grain, passengers, boats, grain.

VARNA WEST – HIGHTLIGHTS:

  • Varna West port is located 30 km west of Varna city, on the western shore of lake Beloslav adjacent to chemical factories in town Devnya enabling direct handling according to the scheme factory –ship.
  • Most of ports berths are multifunctional –containers, ro-ro, grain, coal, clinker are used for handling of various cargoes:  soda ash, fertilizers and cement in bags and big-bags, metals, equipment, timber and grain products;
