JAPANESE shipping giant NYK has become a member of the Maritime Anti-Corruption Network (MACN), a global business network that works toward realising fair trade in the entire shipping industry, the company announced.

The network has a vision of a maritime industry free of corruption, and collaborates with governments, authorities, international organisations, and key stakeholders to identify and mitigate the root causes of corruption in the maritime industry.

“NYK and its group companies have implemented a number of measures to prevent corruption and bribery, and we will continue to give attention to fair business activities to earn the trust of our stakeholders,” the company said
